In the meantime, here are a few pointers for your RV battery care this season.
- Summer is a busy season for all of us and is typically the time of the year that we do the vast majority of our travel. The winter tends to be much slower. If your RV sat for long periods of the winter season without running, there is a good chance that your batteries do need some attention. Try to prevent harming your batteries by starting up the engine periodically and taking your RV for regular rides.
- Don’t let your battery fall beneath 50% charge. When RV batteries reach low levels, risks increase for subpar performances in the future. It is best to keep your batteries above 75% charge at all times.
- Don’t leave your house batteries running within your RV. Unplug appliances rather than just turning them off. This will help you preserve battery over time.
Remember to replace your RV battery before hitting the road this summer and safe travels! Start easy. Stay positive!
